Questions people ask before buying
Plain answers about what the panel is, how to use it, and how red and near-infrared light differ. No medical claims.
It is the everyday name for using low-level red light — roughly 630–670 nm — on the skin as part of a wellness routine. It is studied for skin and recovery applications. It is not a medical treatment, and this panel is not a medical device.
Light just beyond visible red, around 850 nm on this panel. You cannot really see it — expect only a faint glow. It reaches further below the skin surface than visible red, which is why it is often used in recovery contexts.
Set it on its stand, position yourself at a comfortable distance, choose a mode (red, near-infrared or both), set the brightness and the timer, and switch on. The panel turns itself off when the timer ends.
The timer presets run from 5 to 30 minutes. Common practice with light panels is to start at the shorter end and build up as you learn how your skin responds. The panel switches itself off when the timer ends.
The manufacturer measures output at 15 cm and does not publish a separate usage distance, so around 15 cm is a reasonable starting point. Closer concentrates the light on a smaller area; further back spreads it more gently. Adjust to what feels comfortable.
Many people use a panel once a day. Consistency tends to matter more than the length of any single session. If you are treating a specific concern, speak to a qualified professional first.
Yes. The panel has a combined mode that runs both wavelengths at once, alongside red-only and near-infrared-only modes.
The red light is bright. Close your eyes during a session, or use the supplied opaque goggles, and do not stare directly into the diodes. If you have an eye condition, ask a professional first.
The panel, the metal folding stand, a carry handle with screws and a hex wrench, protective goggles, a mains cord and the user manual. A wireless remote is listed as optional for this model — check the product listing for whether it is included.
The diode face is about 220 mm wide and 318 mm tall, the body is around 68 mm deep, and it stands roughly 372 mm tall on its stand. It weighs about 3 kg.
