About

A quieter kind of wellness device

redled makes one product and tries to make it well.

Why one product

Most of this category competes on numbers — more diodes, bigger panels, louder claims. We started from the opposite question: what does a person actually need to keep a light routine going at home? The answer was small. Enough output for a real session, controls you can reach without a phone, a build that survives being moved around, and honesty about what the light does and does not do.

How we talk about light

Red and near-infrared light are an active research area. Some findings are promising; many studies are small, and results in a clinic do not automatically apply to a device used at home. So we describe redled One by what it emits and how you control it. We do not claim it treats anything. If a statement is not something we can support, it is marked as unconfirmed rather than dressed up.

What we are still working on

Independent measurements — irradiance across distances, flicker, EMF — and a short, sourced reading list on photobiomodulation. When those exist they will be published here in full, including anything unflattering.
